Innovation Workshop
One of the most requested corporate sessions, this is a highly practical, interactive, inspirational, and high-energy workshop that is purposely designed around strategies that work in the real world and can be implemented by participants, rather than being overloaded with abstract theories on business innovation with no practical application.
The workshop kicks off with an overview of the key organisational components you want to put in place to foster an innovative company culture. We then move to an hands-on session where participants are able to put in practice what they just learned with tactical exercises tailored to a specific business problem/opportunity you want to tackle.
Public Speaking
I support businesses that are looking for an external personality to join as a speaker to their corporate events, industry conferences or internal keynotes/all hands.
I might be a fit for you if you are looking for:
- Fresh perspective: An external speaker can provide a fresh perspective and new ideas that may not be present among your employees. I can bring a unique view point and expertise to the table, which usually helps in engaging and motivating the audience.
- Specialized expertise in topics such as hiring & development, corporate innovation, and emotional intelligence. My experience in global hiring as an Amazon Bar Raiser, combined with my background having helped international businesses across multiple industries improve their approach to innovation, and my experience having trained hundreds of leaders in emotional intelligence might be helpful if you are looking to expand your knowledge in one of these areas.
Emotional Intelligence Workshop
Emotional intelligence (otherwise known as emotional quotient or EQ) is the ability to understand, use, and manage your own emotions in positive ways to relieve stress, communicate effectively, empathize with others, overcome challenges and defuse conflict.EQ has a crucial impact on the success of individuals and organisations, as it can drastically improve communication, leadership, decision-making, and innovation capabilities, all of which contribute to the success of an individual or business. I have graduated from the InnerMBA program at NYU in 2021, and have been training thousands of individuals as a certified EQ Evangelist for the past few years. Participants can choose from a wide selection of EQ topics.
Did you know that studies have shown that EQ can account for 85% of your financial success, while IQ only for the remaining 15%?
IQ is important, but it is to be considered as a “threshold ability”, where EQ is classified as a “distinguishing quality”. IQ skills are what allow you to potentially get a new role, but EQ skills are what you need to grow in your career, expand your responsibilities, and achieve leadership roles. The more senior you are, the more relevant EQ actually becomes for your effectiveness and success. EQ has been found to be important even in highly technical roles. The fact is, no matter what role you have, you must work together well with teammates, managers, internal and external customers, and various other stakeholders.
I offer a variety of EQ sessions and workshops, covering the following topics:
- Getting started with EQ: what is it, why is it important, and how do you measure your EQ?
- Efficiently regulating your emotions through the PRIME and Emotional Anarchy models.
- Providing tough feedback to others, with detailed steps to follow to prepare ahead of the discussion.
- Defining emotions through the Mood Meter tool & learn how to correctly map and name 100+ emotions.
- Navigating conflict at work or home, including an handy checklist you can use to regulate your feelings.
- Preventing burnout, with research-backed techniques and handy daily tasks for you to complete.
Here are some reasons why EQ is important in the business world
Better communication
EQ helps individuals communicate effectively, listen actively, and understand the needs and perspectives of others. This can improve relationships with clients, customers, and colleagues, leading to better collaboration and teamwork.
Improved leadership
Leaders with high EQ are more effective at inspiring and motivating their teams, while understanding their team members' emotional needs, which overall help creating a positive work environment that fosters innovation and productivity . They are also better equipped to handle conflicts and resolve issues in a positive manner.
Increased resilience
EQ helps individuals to manage stress and remain calm under pressure. This ultimately enables them to bounce back from setbacks and remain focused on their goals, which is crucial for success in business.
Improved decision-making
EQ helps individuals make better decisions by considering the emotions of themselves and others, and by taking into account the impact of their decisions on people's feelings. This can lead to better outcomes and fewer negative consequences.
Increased innovation
EQ fosters creativity, risk-taking, and open-mindedness, which are essential for innovation and growth in business. When individuals with high EQ work together, they are able to create a more open and inclusive environment where ideas can be shared freely.
Better sales and customer satisfaction
Individuals with high EQ are better able to connect with customers, understand their needs, and provide personalized service. This can lead to increased sales and customer loyalty.
